If You Love These Popular Rom-Com Movies, Here’s The Book You Should Read Next
As an English teacher and an avid reader, I consume romance novels every weekend. #Booktok is a great resource when I am looking for a new read, but sometimes I just want the same storyline as one of my favorite romantic comedy films.

I have read (and loved!) each book on this list, and I paired each one with the appropriate romance movie for the ultimate comfy afternoon. I do my best to avoid open door romance novels in my personal reading, so each of these recommendations has either closed door or mild spice content, rather than unnecessary explicit scenes. And if you’re looking for a new cozy movie that is based on a book, allow me to recommend a few wonderful films for your upcoming movie night. My latest obsession is The Hating Game, which is based on the novel by Sally Thorne. Nicholas Sparks also has several movies that are based on his bestselling titles, such as The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, The Longest Ride, and The Choice. Crazy Rich Asians is another movie based on the book of the same name.
Brew a hot cup of tea and snuggle up with one of these books! Happy reading!
